Jerry & Suzanne Bugg
Jerry and Suzanne Bugg have been active supporters of Oklahoma FCA for over 50 years. Their friendship and association with Chuck and Betty Bowman and Gary and Elaine Lower began in the early seventies.
Born and raised in OKC, Jerry was in the car rental business for over 70 years beginning with National Car Rental, then transitioning to Dollar and Thrifty Car Rental. The Buggs provided FCA staff with donated cars to drive throughout Oklahoma for their FCA work.
Over the years, Jerry and Suzanne have been faithful supporters of FCA, both financially and prayerfully. During the years of the annual FCA auction, the Buggs were one of the largest donors of auction items. They’ve been regulars at the annual auctions, All-State banquets and have attended FCA reunions in Estes Park, Colorado. The Buggs have sponsored countless students to attend FCA summer camps, many who would otherwise be unable to attend. Jerry and Suzanne love FCA. This love has shown itself in the many lives impacted by their quiet influence and generosity.
Jerry and Suzanne have three children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. They currently attend Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City.

Jerry was first introduced to FCA while coaching at OU. In 1975, FCA State Director Chuck Bowman invited Jerry to attend an FCA camp at ORU. During that week, Jerry saw the ministry’s impact on the 1200 plus athletes at camp. Jerry committed his life to Christ during that ORU camp. From that point on, Jerry became one of the most active FCA college coaches in America. He became an ambassador for the ministry, speaking for FCA throughout the country, and was recognized by athletes as a Christian at each university where he coached. He served on the FCA State Board of Directors in Nebraska, Illinois, and Oregon.

Description Title
Raised in Stillwater, Doug Tewell started out as a caddy for his father at age 12. Tewell attended hometown OSU where he first joined the Cowboy baseball team before switching to golf. Tewell turned professional out of college in 1971 and became a member of the PGA Tour in 1975. What followed were four PGA Tour victories in seven years. Tewell had sixty Top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, including top tens at the 1983 and 1986 PGA Championships.
Injuries cut Tewell’s PGA career short – he was impacted by left elbow problems at the age of 46. But Tewell was granted golf’s ultimate mulligan. He made a successful comeback from injury and put together a more successful career on the Senior (Nationwide) Tour. Tewell won every season from 2000 through 2004, amassing a total of 8 victories.
After 7 full seasons as a senior, Tewell retired from the tour in February of 2007. Tewell, who studied speech communications at OSU, also spent time as a golf analyst for the Golf Channel, ESPN and Fox Sports.
Doug and his wife Pam were faithful supporters to FCA over the years. For 12 years, they sponsored the Doug Tewell FCA Golf Tournament at Oak Tree National, raising over $600,000 through these tournaments. Doug brought in golf pros, PGA Chaplain Tom Randall, and provided items to each golfer. His connection with venders allowed golfers to walk away from each tournament with some of the newest clubs on the tour, golf balls, jackets, and much more – all at no expense to FCA. Doug was willing to speak for FCA, not only in Oklahoma but throughout the country, and did so many times. Doug was a true ambassador for FCA in both the PGA Tour and Senior Tour.
