Where can you find over 150 college age, high school, and junior high students playing a game where winning is determined by playing the role of a gorilla, a man, or a gun? Other than an occasional icebreaker at FCA camp, Southeastern Oklahoma FCA Game Day is the place.

SOSU Homecoming Saturday in Durant, OK, is the place to be for excitement. Over 200 people, including huddle coaches, sponsors, and students, showed up early to Bloomer Sullivan Arena for the 2016 Game Day Rally.

The FCA staff along with board members, volunteers, the Savage Storm FCA huddle, the Lady Savage Storm basketball team and a few members of the Murray State FCA huddle came together in collaborative efforts to program an excellent game day event.

For only $10 participants received a Game- Day T-Shirt, lunch, a ticket to the game, and a Game-Day Student Rally. SOSU Game Day is an excellent way to build relationships with students because to coordinate student participation, food plans and a bus trip to Durant, OK, takes team work.

We understand that coaches and huddle sponsors, who are attempting to accomplish a vision for their student-athletes, require support. Our FCA staff is on hand to provide that spiritual support as 3rd Dimension Partners. FCA is the Heart and Soul in Sports because coaches and huddle sponsors provide the Influence, and we want to share the blessings as coaches and huddle leaders build teams for Jesus Christ.

Thank you to local pastor and former Southeastern QB Brandon McCain for presenting the Gospel to the Game-Day students, coaches and sponsors. Jimmy Hardwood, along with two Atoka students, led our Rally in some amazing worship.

When we think of Excellence, we are reminded that as Christians, our role is to do, “Whatever we do, enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men.”
