THINK PINK

GOAL:

FOR ALL OKLAHOMA SCHOOLS TO UNITE AND PAY TRIBUTE TO BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

This goal can be accomplished by asking you to take part in the 3-step process. Below are some ideas to get your creative juices going!

1^ST STEP

        *Contact your local media and let them know about the upcoming events

2^nd STEP

        *February 8-12 is THINK PINK WEEK

We want your huddle, school, teams, etc. to participate in each day’s event.

*Monday, February 8-Pink Ribbon Day

        -  Give each person who comes to school a pink ribbon to wear

*Tuesday, February 9-Men in Pink

        -   Every male in school wear some sort of pink

*Wednesday, February 10-Walls Wednesday

-  Decorate the walls of your schools with pink signs

        (They can be “In honor” or “In memory” signs or just generic)

*Thursday, February 11- $$$$$ Thursday

       -Hold some kind of fundraiser for Susan G. Komen Foundation

*Friday, February 12-Pink Frenzy

-         Everyone wear pink to school

3^rd STEP

The entire week will be leading up to Pink Frenzy night.  This is a night where basketball gyms around the state, including the University of Oklahoma, will be covered in pink.

          *We want the fans to wear pink

          *Contact the opposing team for participation

        *We have pink shoestrings for your basketball teams to wear, but you must email Kate, Coach Coale’s assistant, at kgaines@ou.edu to reserve your team’s shoestrings.
